While researching MechScape I found some cool videos featuring Jagex employees talking about their careers. The most interesting is the one by Head of MechScape Henrique Olifiers in which he says: QUOTE I think my proudest moment is still to come, is where I've released my first big game here in Europe, and there's so much momentum being built around this project I've been working the past two and a half years, I think seeing that game coming together, and the stage it is right now, being playable and people enjoying it, but it's about to be released and open to the world. I'm starting to feel that this is my proudest moment. I am almost in the clouds, walking in the sky, Henrique Olifiers (Head of MechScape) Mark Brassington (Senior Graphics Modeller) David Coleman (Bug Abuse Lead Curator) Will Knox-Walker (RuneScape Release Co-ordinator) Laura Watton (2D FunOrb Artist) Alex Janaway (MechScape Associate Producer) Dean Ollive (RuneScape QA Unit Lead) Some artwork, possibly MechScape, also features in the videos: [There is some other art around and about in those videos too - if Jagex want me to take down this thread I will]

This song will become the anthem of your underground. You're two floors down getting high in the back room. If I flooded out your house, do you think you'd make it out, Or would you burn up before the water filled your lungs?
And at your funeral I will sing the requiem.

QUOTE (Mysterious Stranger) "It is true, that which I have revealed to you; there is no God, no universe, no human race, no earthly life, no heaven, no hell. It is all a dream - a grotesque and foolish dream. Nothing exists but you. And you are but a thought - a vagrant thought, a useless thought, a homeless thought, wandering forlorn among the empty eternities!"

The master of finding everything finds even more. Awesome find, Ren; I'm most of the way through Henrique's, and have one major complaint about the videos, though: The camera work is terrible; they went for some sort of edgy, creative, wild camera with it constantly moving around, but instead all I got out of it was "Our cameraman was drunk and can't sit still." I mean, I just came back from my Filmmaking I class an hour ago... Our high school kids do better camera work than whoever shot this!
But the content itself is very informative.

QUOTE (I @ Mar 18 2009, 04:19 PM) Does the camra man have ADD or something? Lol, I know, the random "transitions" were messed up. That video was posted on Feb. 10. Mr. Olifiers said that it was "playable." So I guess their just ironing out bugs and we can expect a release soon :D ~Piggeh

(my bday ) 10 February 2008 is when it was released. MSW does not know the MechScape release date (it might not even have one if they want it to go through lots of quality control which is hard to estimate time-wise).
