Ever wanted to play world of warcraft?
don't have the cash to afford playing wow?
Play Runes of Magic!
Its a clone of wow, with a housing system and a cool class system (you can have 2 classes after lvl 15, for example...
You can be a lvl 54 warrior, then you might want to make a new character for another class, on Runes of magic, you can make another class on that character, you will start off as a level 1 whatever class you want and switch back and forth as many times as you want.
ITS FREE, been playing this game for a day and I can tell you, its the best free (pwns runescape imo, but thats my opinion) mmorpg ever made.
Its a 3.6GB download at the moment and you can only be a human but they are updating the game weekly :)
Just go on youtube and search for rune of magic, you won't be dissapointed.
For those of you players that quit runescape, are waiting for 'mechscape', so your paying for either funorb or runescape members so you can play the beta of 'mechscape' and can't afford to play anything else, then play this!
:D!!
by the way, I'm not really bothering to write much about the game or put pictures in this topic because I'm gonna close firefox and play it right now.
EDIT: NOOB TYPOS..... >:(

it was fun for a while but it got pretty tedious.. plus they released it waaay to early. they should have had at least another year of beta. anyway like he said its just a wow clone + copying some of the better qualities of other mmos. nothing new, nothing better. same old same old.
to me it seemed like frogster got in a little over there heads. but im not gona say anything bad about them.
me9374 if you played during the beta or the first few months of the release youll know who i am

that is if you played on the US side. i was one of the few GMs who actually listened to the community.

I absolutely abhor it.
Want to know why? Of course you do!
1. INCREDIBLY LARGE FILE DOWNLOAD. Yeah, 3.5gb for the client is nice. It's over the top for most MMO's, but you think "Hey, this game is a large file because it's so great." You download it. You install it (assuming your DL hasn't cut out because it takes so long to DL) and start up the client. But what's this? It needs to patch itself. Ok cool. Guess what? The patches take almost 6 hours to install with 54mb/s. It's an absolute joke. You lost a portion of your life downloading the client and the next thing you know is you have to also download a lifetime of patches which don't seem compressed at all because they take SUCH A LONG TIME to download.
2. If you survived that ordeal and weren’t turned off the game yet, you soon will be. When you start the thing up and finally open the game screen, most people notice that the log in box NEVER APPEARS. A minor issue? Seems not. Pretty much all the topics on the tech forum are about this issue which makes you wonder what the hell the staff are doing. All you want to do is play the freaking game and you have to download a tone of patches only to find the game won’t let you log in. You'll probably spend an equal amount of time trying to get it to work as you did patching it.
3. By now, you probably hate this game despite its great looking gameplay and concept.
Now, you log in (at long last), you make your character out of some very limited hair and face options. (Which seem to come from every other Asian looking MMO.) You enter the game world. Shock horror, there are freaking grammar mistakes in the game. I mean what sort of company makes games with so many grammar mistakes that it'd take Einstein to try to correct them all. It seems like they've used Google Translator to create their text.
4. Gameplay. Exact same as WoW, it really is nothing special. Most of the time you probably won't understand how quite a lot of the game features work because there is no adequate guide or any players who'll actually speak to you. (They all just ignore you.) The skills are unimaginative and just like WoWs. (Watch a progress bar go up, congrats you got some useless logs.) Did I mention it's just like WoW? Don't get me started on their "imaginative" quests. "Get me 10 apples" Sound like a game you know?
5. Glitches. There are tones of glitches in the game ranging from disappearing items to weird pathing issues and disappearing land. The game just seems unstable which pretty much ruins the fun when you log in to find your items have disappeared (not due to hackers) but because the storage somehow reset itself.
6. Micro-payments. I hate games which require you to pay IRL money to buy items. The game requires no skill, just a wallet to fork out cash so you can own a Rhinoceros.
It had potential but they didn't use it right and just made it a WoW knock off which is more effort to install than it’s worth.

Was downloading it, and it was 3.6gb, stopped itself at 3.5gb so I started installing it. It was extracting these four different rar files which took an hour, and the last one was corrupt, so my laptop was on for a day wasting my download limit, and I can't play the freaking game, great.
**** sake ************ **** ******** *****......thats right.

yup. like i said. frogster doesnt seem to know what they are doing.
even when the game came out we had 1000s of reports that people couldnt install it. in fact the only people that actually played during the first few months of release were those lucky enough to download it pre-patched. for some reason they decided not to update the download and make people patch up from like 30 patches. it was ridiculous.
oh well im glad i dont have to deal with that stuff anymore lol.

And you think that's bad Me, you have to patch it for 6 hours after that. I too destroyed my Internet for that month with the game I couldn't even get to work.
